Charles Wallace "Chuck" Taylor

Chuck Taylor, 85 year old Woodward resident, died Friday, November 6, 2020 in Oklahoma City. Private family graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, November 13, 2020 in the South Persimmon Cemetery. Interment will follow with the Billings Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Charles Wallace (Chuck) Taylor was born on July 11, 1935 in Shattuck, Oklahoma; he was the son of George Washington and Thelma (Mote) Taylor. Chuck was reared on the family farm near Sharon, Oklahoma. He graduated from Sharon High School.

Chuck was untied in marriage to Oma Jean Tilford on July 17, 1954 and they made their home in Weatherford. They were blessed with four children, Kelly, Kathy, Tony and Jamie. Chuck returned to Sharon, where he continued the life he loved of farming and ranching for the remainder of his life. He was united in marriage to Donna Jeanne Carter in August of 1986, they made their home in Woodward.Most people who knew Chuck envied him for his ability to train bird dogs. People in the business called him a legend. Chuck throughly enjoyed working with young dogs and turning them into the best bird dog he could.He was member of the First Baptist Church.

Chuck is survived by his wife Donna of the home; son, Tony Taylor of Sharon; daughters, Kelly Conrad of Oklahoma City; Kathy Taylor of Edmond; Jamie Taylor of Woodward; step-daughters, Kimberly Dungan of Pryor Lake, Minnesota; Sidonna Davis of Woodward; step-sons, Terry Warren and Larry Warren both of Woodward; grandchildren, Liberty Merriman; Kurson Nagel; Kayle Sheid; Michael Smith; Braden Bierig; Ty Taylor; Dustin Davis; Jorden Davis; Mikaela Warren; Sarah Warren; Trystan Warren; Ryan Dungan and Leah Dungan; great-grandchildren, Kollyns Smith; Jenna and Carson Davis; Taylor and Jack Dungan; sister, Margaret McDonald of Pennsylvania; other family members and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Gloria Clothier and Norma Lee Stow and son-in-law, Terry Davis.
