Evalyn Regina Welling Ridgway

Evalyn Regina Welling Ridgway "Grandma" was born March 27, 1917 in Paragould, Arkansas to Regina and Bob Welling and went to be with her Heavenly Father June 29, 1992 in the Mercy Medical Center at the age of 75 years, 3 months and 2 days.
She married Pete James Ridgway, originally from Roger Mills County, Oklahoma on October 28, 1935 in Panhandle, Texas. They lived in Sweeney, Texas before returning to Roger Mills County to make their home in 1979.
She enjoyed laughing and fun things. She received pleasure from canning, raising irises and being with friends and family.
In later years she took care of Mable Beavin, whom she loved very dearly.
She was a member of the Catholic Church and the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one daughter, Duala Regina Stewart.
Services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 3, 1992 at the Magnolia Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Stephen Gude, and assisted by Stan Norman.
Interment will be in the Llano Cemetery in Amarillo, Texas later that afternoon at 3:30 p.m. under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service.
Survivors include two grandsons, James William Tanner of Roll, Oklahoma; and Michael James Stewart of Lake Jackson, Texas; two cousins, Jean Merrill of Murray, Kentucky; Bobby Hodges of Allen Park, Michigan; and a host of relatives and friends.
