Jean Vincent Gillette, 80, much beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend passed peacefully on April 11, 2011 with her daughters at her side.

Born in San Angelo, Texas to Pauline and Clarence Vincent, she grew up in Cheyenne, Oklahoma.

Jean was retired from the Campus Activities Center W.S.U. where she was the personnel manager.

She is preceded in death by her parents; the love of her life Jack Gillette; and her son-in-law, Kurt Seybold.

She is survived by her daughters, Darla Gillette Seybold; Lori Gillette Cunningham {Robert} of Wichita; and Lisa Gillette Blaes {Matt} of Olathe, Kansas; sister and brother-in-law Jan and Toke Rogers of Las Cruces, New Mexico; and brother C. L. {Virginia} Vincent of New Mexico.

The greatest joy in her life came from her grandchildren Phillip {Heather} Cushman of Bremerton, Washington; Molly Blaes of Orlando, Florida; Cavanaugh Blaes of Olathe, Kansas; Tim Cunningham; Stephanie Toland {Mark}, Wichita; and her great granddaughter Kaylee Cushman.

She is also survived by her beloved Westie, Lexi. She leaves behind many, many friends and wonderful neighbors whom she loved so dearly including Mark, David, Star and Wilbur.

Memorial services will be held Friday, April 15, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. at Woodland United Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers a memorial contribution may be made to the Kansas Humane Society 3313 N. Hillside, Wichita, Kansas 67219.
