Jarrel John Burrows was born to Louie C. and Esther O. Burrows on November 16, 1944 in Elk City, Oklahoma and passed away January 1, 2008 in Sayre, Oklahoma at the age of 63 years.

He is survived by his wife Ida of the home.

He was preceded in death by his parents and father-in-law, William Paul Mallon.

Jarrel grew up in Descanso, California and lived with his parents until he married Ida Jane Mallon on June 24, 1967.

He remained in California where he attended welding school and worked as a welder in the ship yards. He and his wife Ida moved to Oklahoma in 1978 where he started welding for Dean Krober. He then opened his own business and worked in the oil fields in Oklahoma.

Along with his wife, who was bookkeeper, he operated the Burrows Welding Service for three years.

Jarrel was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 1982 and has been fighting it ever since.

He was moved to the Hensley Nursing Home in Sayre in March of 2005 where he spent his final days.

Jarrel is survived by his wife, Isa; his brother Doyle Burrows and wife Mary of Cheyenne, Oklahoma; as well as two brothers-in-law and wife in California, Todd Mallon of Julian, California; and Paul Mallon and wife Colleen of Campo, California; ten nephews and nieces, Mary Lynn Trimmer and husband Bob of Coldsprings, Texas; Jimmy Burrows of Reston, Virginia; Leanna Walker and husband Steve of Spearman, Texas; Dale and Dendra Burrows of Wylie, Texas; Jason Mallon, Steve Mallon and Ryan Mallon of Campo, California; and Travis Mallon, Torey Mallon and T. J. Mallon of Julian, California; grand nephews are Teldon Ueland of Coldsprings, Texas; and Matthew Burrows of Wylie, Texas; grand nieces are Jessica, Bethany, and Erin Burrows of Wylie, Texas; Kyla, Brooke and Macy Walker of Spearman, Texas; and Audry and Lanie Mallon of Descanso, California.

Memorial services were held Monday, January 7, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. at the Cheyenne First United Methodist Church.
