Early in life he moved to Neodesha, Kansas, where he was united in marriage with Laura Naomi Black, who preceded him in death October 28, 1944.
To this union were born seven children, Naomi Hickman of National City, California; Claude Anderson of Santa Rosa, California; Doyle Anderson, deceased; Floyd Anderson of Vale, Oregon; Flavis Anderson of Durham, Oklahoma; Bennie L. Besides his children there remains to mourn his loss one brother in Kentucky, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and other relatives together with a host of friends.
Near the beginning of the country, Mr. Anderson moved with his family to western Oklahoma near Durham where for many years he engaged in farming.
He was known as an honest, hard-working, progressive citizen of that community. After he retired he traveled about in different states making his home in Neodesha, Kansas.
Mr. Anderson at an early age accepted Jesus as his Savior and was for years a faithful member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. His faith sustained him with a "unfailing trust" through all his last sufferings, and many times he expressed the hope that he would meet loved ones where pain and suffering and sorrow will be no more.
Funeral services were held at Neodesha, Kansas, August 9, 1948 and interment was in Ross Cemetery by the side of his wife, with Rev. W. H. Clark, Oklahoma City and Rev. A. Van Benschoten, Neodesha, Kansas, officiating ministers.
