Thomas Glenn Blackwell was born on May 7, 1940 in Rock Hill, South Carolina to Brady and Matti Bell (Adkins) Blackwell.

He passed away in Cheyenne, Oklahoma on August 3, 2020 at the age of 80 years, 2 months and 27 days.

Tom grew up in  York, South Carolina and married Edna Swearingen in 1976 then later moved to Cheyenne, Oklahoma where they made their home. Tom worked as a mechanic and at the feed mill in Cheyenne. He enjoyed dirt track racing and working on the cars with his brother. He especially loved to travel with his family. 
 

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, 1 son, Glenn, 1 sister and 4 brothers. 


He is survived by 4 daughters, Lisa Boyett of Cheyenne, OK, Ann Glenn of Crystal River, FL, Desiree Blackwell, Crystal River, FL, Genia Swearingen, Guthrie, OK, 1 son, Gene Dallas Blackwell, Dallas, TX, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, 1 brother, David Blackwell and wife, Cathy, of York, SC and a host of other relatives and friends. 
 

Graveside services will be held Friday, August 7, 2020 at 3:00 P.M. at the Cheyenne Cemetery under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service, Cheyenne.

Visitation will be held Thursday, August 6, 2020 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM and Friday, August 7, 2020 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Rose Chapel Funeral Service, Cheyenne.
