Joseph Lyndell, 11 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Wingo of Berlin died from a broken neck Monday, August 2, 1965.
The boy was found by his father in a road near the home about 7:00 p.m.
There was a tank, a piece of gas pipe, and a small kite attached to an elecrical high line.
According to authentic information, the boy was not electrocuted. He may have climbed on the gas tank, received a small shock causing him to fall and break his neck or he may have been trying to pole valut when he fell.
He is survived by his parents; two brothers, Tom and Gary; and his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Mutschler of Berling.
Funeral services will be Thursday, August 5, 1965 at 2:30 p.m. in the school auditorium.
Scroggins and Son are in charge of arrangements.
Burial will be in the Berlin cemetery, Berlin, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma.
