Linda Ann Yates, 74, of McAlester, died October 7th, 2023 at her residence after a long battle with cancer. The family will greet visitors from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 10th at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 11th, at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home officiated by Pastor Kenny Morrow. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons Tyler Blasengame, Dalton Dalpoas, Justin Pierce, Kaleb Wagoner, Zac Doyle, and Josh Yates. Honorary pallbearers are Tracy Choate, Mike Smith, Rick Weiher, and Eran Ranallo. Linda was born October 19th, 1948 in Hartshorne, Oklahoma to Walter and Georgie (Campbell) Henington. She was raised from the age of 10 by her grandmother Annie Campbell. She was a cosmetologist and worked at various places until going to work for Rockwell, Boeing, and Spirit until retiring in 2006. She loved working in her yard, spending time with family, and watching Oklahoma Sooner football. Linda is survived by her husband: Larry U. Yates of McAlester; daughters Tracey Lay and husband Alan of Pittsburg, Tammi Stanton and husband Ryan of Gravette, AR; son Victor Ray Dalpoas of McAlester; daughter Ila Frederick and husband Brad of Houston, TX, and son Brent and wife Kellie Yates of McAlester; grandchildren, Tyler Blasengame and wife Malarie, Ashton Pierce and husband Justin, Mallorie Barlow and husband Wade, Dalton Dalpoas and Alexis West, Alyssa Stanton, Audrey Stanton, Kaleb Wagoner and wife Katlynn, Zac Doyle and wife Hailey, Hannah Beshears and husband Dylan, Josh Yates and wife Kayla, Cassidy Woody and husband Kyle; numerous great grandchildren; brothers-in-law Gene Yates and wife Joy, Tony Yates and wife Maggie; sister-in-law Edith Hennington; aunts, Mary James and Shirley Thompson; uncle Don Campbell and wife Glenda; and several nieces and nephews. Linda was preceded in death by her mother: Georgie Henington, grandmother: Annie Campbell; sisters, Debbie Tollett and Kay Henington; brothers Bill Henington and Johnny Henington; brother-in-law Jerry Tollett; and an aunt, June Boling.
