Needham L. Williamson, 83, of McAlester, died Sunday, November 22, 2020 in McAlester. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at Bishop Chapel of Memories officiated by Rev. J.D. Wyzard. Burial will follow in the Masonic Section of Oak Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Harley Griffin, Preston Reid, Jim "Poncho" Haselet, Harry Oneth, Roy Loyd, and Allen Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be Michel McFarland, Asti McFarland, Clint Sharp, James Johnson, Ray Brewer, and the Members of Solomon Masonic Lodge in Krebs. Needham was born to Edward Needham and Aretta D. (Mitchell) Williamson on January 19, 1937 in Carbon, Oklahoma. Needham married Asenath (Massey) Johnson on October 26, 1979 in Hugo. He owned and operated Williamson Back Hoe and Trucking Service, and was a cattle rancher. He was a member of Gospel Assembly Church in McAlester. Needham enjoyed hunting, fishing and raising cattle. He was a member of the Solomon Masonic Lodge No. 32, and a member of the Bedouin Shrine Fire Brigade. Needham was preceded in death by his parents: Edward and Aretta Williamson, sister: Edna Wilcox, and brother-in-law: James Richard Cecil. He is survived by his wife: Asenath Williamson; son: Carlie Jo Williamson of McAlester; daughter: Marilyn Rice and husband, Jamie of McAlester; son: David Weiher of McAlester; stepson: Dennis Johnson and wife, Mary Helen of Carlsbad, California; grandchildren: C.J. Williamson of Ada, Dalton Weiher of McAlester, Jett Johnson, Jase Johnson, Darra Johnson; great-grandchildren: Elijah and Audrey Grace; sisters: Wanda Vaughn of McAlester, Brenda Dean of Porter; sisters-in-law: Sonja Williams, Sylvia Cecil, both of McAlester; niece: Leanna Johnson and husband, Allen of Porter; special friends: Preston, Carley, Peyton, and Paige Reid; and a number of other family and friends.
