David Wayne Stewart, 56, of Bokoshe, formerly of McAlester, passed away Saturday, July 24, in Bokoshe. Funeral services will be Friday, July 30, at 6:00 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home Chapel in McAlester. Burial will be Monday at Oak Hill Cemetery in McAlester. David Stewart was born on Dec. 17, 1964 in Oklahoma City to Melvin Wayne Stewart and Wanda Ruth (Loafman) Stewart. He grew up in Spiro and had lived in McAlester since 1985, until just recently when he moved to Bokoshe. David had worked as a hospital custodian as a young man and then more recently worked as a yard man around town. David is survived by children, Joshua Stewart, Gary Allen Means, and Jessica Means-Mills; grandchildren, Jarrod, Gabriella, and Jeremiah; a brother, Timothy Ray Stewart; and a sister and brother-in-law, Paula Baker and Tim. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Justin Leon Stewart; and a sister, Patty Stewart.
