Mrs. Floy (Freddie) Knox, 47, of Fort Pierce, Fla., died Wednesday at McAlester Regional hospital. She was a native of Pittsburg, born Dec. 11, 1938, and a graduate of Pittsburg High School. Funeral services will be Saturday, 10 a.m., at Mills Funeral Chapel with Rev. Darrel Totten officiating. Burial will be at Oak Hill cemetery under the direction of Mills Funeral Home. Family members will serve as pallbearers. Mrs. Knox served in the United States Navy from 1956 through 1958 and in the Navy Reserve from 1974 to 1976. She married Allen Knox on Jan. 30, 1960 in West Palm Beach, Fla. She had lived in the West Palm Beach and Ft. Pierce area for the past 25 years. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of the Palm Beach No. 41 Order of Eastern Star. Survivors include her husband Allen of the home; a son, Charles Lee Knox of Ft. Pierce; three daughters, Mrs. Jimmy Sullivan of Pittsburg, Rhonda Knox of Tampa, Fla., and Kathy Knox of Ft. Pierce; a brother, Jackie Lee Rice of Pittsburg; three sisters, Frances Shell of West Palm Beach, Pauline Reese of Choctaw Beach, Fla., and Shirley Bonde of Tecumseh; a grandchild, Jimmy Sullivan, Jr. and several nieces and nephews.
