Angela Rana Key, 53, of McAlester, passed away Friday, July 4, 2025 at McAlester Regional Health Center. Viewing and visitation will be come and go on Monday from noon to 8:00 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in McAlester. Funeral services are set for Tuesday, July 8, at 1:00 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in McAlester, with Father Bryan Ketterer officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in McAlester. Angela Key was born on June 23, 1972 in McAlester to Floyd Boone Menasco and Louella (Skaggs) Menasco. She grew up in Wilburton and graduated from Wilburton High School. She then attended Eastern State College, Southeastern State University, before transferring to East Central University where she earned a Master's Degree in Education. She began her teaching career in Panola, where she taught for 10 years before moving to McAlester School, where she taught another 15 years before retiring. She and Lynn Key were married in 1995, and he passed away in 2014. Angela loved antiques and had her own antique store for a few years, the Buffalo Gals. She also loved teaching, going to garage sales, gardening, canning and cooking. Angela was also active in charity work, specifically with Catholic Charities and the Hope House. She had been attending the Sacred Hearts Catholic Church in Wilburton. Angela had the biggest most caring heart and sweetest soul. She was always helping someone in need. Angela is survived by her children, Rayne Lauren Key, Rylee Lynn Key, and Roger Garrison Key; a sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Robert Woodruff; 2 brothers and 1 sister-in-law, Clyde Menasco, and Mike Menasco and wife Sondra; her fiancé, Nils Rauniker; her mother-in-law, Pat Key; and numerous loved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lynn Key; her parents; and a brother, Carey Menasco.
