Ceawilla Dean (Adams) Green, 95 of McAlester died peacefully at home Monday, February 10, 2025. The family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, February 14, 2025, at Bishop Funeral Service and Crematory. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 15, 2025, at North Side Assembly of God Church officiated by Rev. Brian Smith. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, McAlester. The Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Jason Green, Adam Green, Andy Halliburton, Jody Halliburton, Taylor Gould and Jesse Gould. Ceawilla was born to Rolla Vernon and Ethel (Bronner) Adams on August 3, 1929, in Cleveland, Oklahoma. Affectionately called Sue, she grew up in the Northern area of Oklahoma. She married Jackie Mervyn Green in 1948 in Perry. They made their home in Perry, Midwest City and eventually settled in Bugtussle on Lake Eufaula. She was a homemaker. Sue and Jack enjoyed riding motorcycles, camping and fishing. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing and was an avid reader. Sue was a person of faith and lived a life serving others, she was a member of North Side Assembly of God Church. Sue enjoyed life, her family members and many friends. Her children and her grandchildren were her pride and joy. Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Rolla V. and Ethel L. Adams; husband, Jack M. Green in 1993; and son, Rev. J. Dennis Green in 2021. She is survived by her son, Larry Green and wife, Pat of Mustang; daughters, Janette Gould of Tyler, Texas, Gayla Butler and husband, Michael of McAlester, Daughter-in-law, Leslie Green of Midwest City; grandchildren, Jason Dennis Green and wife, Jeanien, Misty Underwood and husband, Jason, Autumn Mobbs, Adam Green, Julie Dehart and husband, Bobby, Jamie Luton and husband, Greg, Lauren Gould, Kendal Knowles and husband, Tim, Taylor Gould, Jesse Gould, Andy Halliburton and wife, Rejeina, Jody Halliburton, Lacey Kuykendall; numerous great and great-great grandchildren; sister, Shirley McKee and husband, Jim of Bugtussle; sisters-in-law, Jean Adams and Joyce Green; brother-in-law, Ted Green; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
