Barbara Jean Daniels, 75, of McAlester, Oklahoma passed away on Friday, June 11, 2021 at her home. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Chaney Harkins Funeral Home in McAlester, Oklahoma with Pastor Jason Dunn officiating. Barbara was born on March 6, 1946 in McAlester, Oklahoma to Perry Hogan and Mary (Anderson) Hogan. She was a member of the Cherokee Tribe. Barbara lived her life as a free spirit. She enjoyed gardening, embroidery, refinishing furniture, and antiquing. She enjoyed Facebook, reconnecting with friends and family. She was proud of her Cherokee heritage. With Barbara’s “larger than life” personality, her passing will create a tremendous void. She is survived by her children: Todd Pierce and wife, Michele of Oklahoma City, Elizabeth Kay Chapman of Norman, Kristi Chapman of Ft. Mills, SC, and Tandi Howard and husband, Tommy of McAlester; grandchildren: Kailee Pierce, Kadi Uhack, Adelia Uhack, Liberty Uhack, Mia Green, Victor Borgess, Anthony Borgess, Aaron Latif, Josiah Arp, Taryn Howard, and Treyton Howard; her brothers and sisters: Bobby Anderson and wife, Margie of Oklahoma City, Brenda Fasso of Yukon, Carolyn Hargiss of Ft. Worth, TX, and Benny Hogan and Tammy Downey of Rowlett, TX; along with numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends. Barbara is preceded in death by her husband: Jesse C. Daniels; father of her children: Doyle Chapman; daughter: LaDonna Miki Chapman; grandson: Gabriel Faver; her parents: Perry and Mary Hogan; and a brother-in-law: Lee Fasso.
