Richard Larry Casey II, 46, died at his home in Panama City, Florida on Saturday, September 11, 2021. Family will receive friends on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in McAlester. Graveside services will be 3:00 p.m. on Friday, September 24, 2021 at Oak Hill Cemetery in McAlester. Burial will follow. Rick was born on November 11, 1974 in McAlester, Oklahoma. His parents are Sandra and Tony Bond, and Richard Casey. Rick was proud to be in law enforcement, he was a talker, loved to tell stories and lived life to the limit. He loved his kids more than anything, loved guns and everything about guns. He enjoyed playing beach volleyball and loved his dog Scooter. Dr. Pepper ran through his blood. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, coaching any sport, hunting, surfing, scuba diving, and anything to do with water. The ocean would put his mind at ease. Other than law enforcement, he was involved in dry wall and painting, gun shop owner and gun instructor, owned and taught martial arts. He always dreamed of being a pilot. Survivors include his fiancé, Erica Russell of Panama City, FL; children, Korin Casey of McAlester, OK, Ashley Casey of Pryor, OK, Kaitlynn Casey of Panama City, FL, Lilyan Casey of Panama City, FL, Mariah Whitlock of Panama City, FL, Wyatt Russell of Panama City, FL and Dalton Russell of Panama City, FL; mother and step-father, Sandra and Tony Bond of McAlester, OK; father, Richard Casey of Hartshorne, OK; grandmother, Retha Boggess of McAlester, OK; ex-wife, Terisue Williams of Pryor, OK. He was preceded in death by a sister, Sandra Lee Boggess; grandpa, Jim Boggess; grandma, Margaret Casey; grandpa, Jess Casey; uncle, George Smith and cousin, Mindy Meador. His wishes were in lieu of flowers, donations be made to start a foundation in his name.
