Glenda Diann Gibson, of Featherston, OK, passed from this life on Tuesday, June 6th, 2023, at the age of 61. She was born on April 6th, 1962, in Brooken Mountain, Oklahoma, at their family home, the daughter of A.J. and Allene Pearce. Diann graduated from Porum High School in 1980 and, after that, married the love of her life, Johnny Gibson, on October 5th, 1984, and they were married for 38+ beautiful years. She then had two children and four grandchildren who were the lights of her life: Keenan Gibson and Kendall Gibson, and grandchildren, Shaylee, Briar, Tayte, and Rendi. She loved her job working at Quinton Public Schools, working there for over 20 years. She was passionate about taking photos, hunting deer, camping, and quilting. She loved participating in any activity that included her children, grandchildren, and family. Those activities included 4H with her kids and sporting events with her children and grandchildren. She grew up in the church and loved singing with her family. Most recently, she was an active member of Featherston Baptist Church, singing the Sunday Specials regularly. She was a loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister-in-law, mother-in-law, friend, and bus driver to many. She will always be remembered as the purest-hearted, kind, selfless, giving individual who would help anyone in need. She is preceded in death by her parents, AJ and Allene Pearce; In-Laws, Everett Lee and Juanita Gibson; and one brother Douglas Pearce. Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Johnny Gibson; two children, Keenan and Kendall Gibson & Cedric Griffin, Tiffany Gibson; four grandchildren, Shaylee, Tayte, Briar, and Rendi; siblings, Gwenda, Randall, Deann, Vicki, Kay, Ronnie, Brad, and Danny, along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, sisters and brothers-in-law, cousins and loving friends. Family will receive friends on Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in McAlester. Services will be 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at the Quinton Event Center. Burial will follow at Featherston Cemetery. Before the service there will be a family dinner at 11:00 a.m. at the Quinton School Cafeteria. Active pallbearers will be Brent Pearce, Cody Pearce, Douglas Pearce, Rustin Pearce, Sammy McDowell and Tony Alvarez. Honorary pallbearers will be Rodney Pearce, Allen McDowell, Ronnie Pearce, Randall Pearce, Brad Pearce, Danny Pearce, Derek Gray, Briar Purdom, Tayte Willig, Roger Gibson, Bryce Smith and Cedric Griffin.
