Leola Faye (Kuykendall) Luker, a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, died at the age of 101 years. Family and friends visitation will be Friday, Oct. 20, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home. Funeral services are set for Saturday, Oct. 21, at 2:00 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home Chapel, with Mike Crawford officiating. Burial will follow at Arpelar Cemetery. Pallbearers are her 8 grandsons, Karl Luker, Doug Luker, Jordan Luker, Jeremy Luker, Tracey Adam, Todd Adam, Deryck Parks, and Brandon Parks. Honorary pallbearers are Joe DeLaune, Carl Sanders, Don Nunn, Bill Pryor, Derald McNutt, Cecil Reeder, Roger Smith, Danny Wilson, Jack Crawford, Roger Kelley, Jack Haigh, and Jack Cumbie. In lieu of flowers, donations are welcome at the Arpelar Cemetery Fund. Leola Luker was born on Aug. 19, 1922 in Pine Hollar, Okla. to Eldon and Mary Edna (Crawford) Kuykendall. She was a life-time resident of Pittsburg County and a long-time member of the Haywood Baptist Church. She married Samuel Alton Luker in April of 1940. Her favorite activities were gardening, sewing, fishing and camping, and listening to country, blue grass, and gospel music. Leola is survived by her 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Donna Adam-Deleo and husband John, Rhonda Parks and husband Phil; a son and daughter-in-law, Jim Luker and wife Donna; daughter-in-law, Linda Luker and her children; grandchildren, Karl Luker, Cindy Cumbie and husband Jack, Tracy Adam and wife Tera, Douglas Luker, Todd Adam and wife Missy, Tina Haigh and husband Jack, Deryck Parks, Brandon Parks and wife Jill, Jeremy Luker and wife Courtney, Jordan Luker and wife Amanda; great grandchildren, Kevin Luker and wife Kristal, Kendall Luker and wife Megan, Kacyn Cumbie Haney and husband Brett, Colton Cumbie and wife Chloe, Taylor Adam, Turner Adam and wife Abbie, Carter Cumbie and wife Rayna, Kayleigh Adam, Payton Hilger and husband Jarron, Kiley Parks, Sammy Luker, Tate Adam, Presley Parks, Caden Parks, Brooklyn Haigh, Paris Trent Luker, Zack Luker, Kennedy Earhart Adam, Zayu Luker, and Louie Luker; great-great grandchildren, Lane Luker, Baylee Luker, Gunner Luker, Mykie Haney, Lincoln Haney, Kira Haney, Hattie Adam; step great-great grandchildren are Kayleigh Nelson, Bayleigh Jo Beck, and Ryleigh Parker; great-great-great grandchildren are Dane and Ruby Nelson and Roslyn Beck; a brother and sister-in-law, John and Jackie Kuykendall; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Alton Luker; a son Joe Ray Luker; her parents; sisters Georgia McClendon and Mildred Wilson Hayes, and brother Donald Kuykendall.
