Monte Leroy Walker, 90, of Barnsdall, passed away Thursday, July 13, 2017.

Monte was born September 16, 1926 to parents Ray Henson and Gladys Madge (Jones) Walker in Barnsdall, Oklahoma. Following high school, Monte joined the US Army and served during WWII. Monte was married to Betty Jean Roberts. He worked for Reda Pump for 35 years as a parts supervisor until retirement.

Monte is survived by one son Larry Walker and wife Susan of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; grandchildren Brent L. Walker of Owasso, Brad A. Walker of Barnsdall, Darrin D. Walker of Barnsdall and Nicole J. Morrison of Bartlesville; 7 great grandchildren and one sister DeVonne Flowers of Barnsdall, Oklahoma.

He was preceded in death by his wife Betty Jean Walker and one brother Bob Walker.

Visitation will be held Monday, July 17, 2017 from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm at Stumpff Funeral Home in Bartlesville. Graveside services will be Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Ethel Reece Cemetery in Barnsdall, Oklahoma.
