Donald Ray Pratt, 78, died Wednesday morning in Bartlesville.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday in the First Baptist Church with Pastor James Biesiadecki officiating.

Donald Ray Pratt was born on October 20, 1938 in his family home in Barnsdall. He was raised in Barnsdall and graduated from Barnsdall High School with the class of 1957, he was the first member of his family to graduate from high school. He later graduated from Northeastern State College with a degree in Industrial Technology in 1961. He was raised with his future wife Gail Eleanor Stoabs whose pigtails he used to pull in grade school. They were married on May 29, 1958 in her family home in Barnsdall. He worked in the oilfield around Barnsdall when he was in high school. After graduation from college he taught school in Copan for three years from 1961 to 1963 when he went to work for the Phillips Petroleum Company and retired in 1995. He had worked as a draftsman for Phillips. He loved to hunt and fish and loved ranching. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bartlesville, the Bartlesville Sportsman Club and the Bartlesville Amateur Radio Club.

Donald is survived by his wife Gail of the home, one daughter Dawn Eleanor Pratt Harrington of Tulsa and one grandson George Daniel Harrington also of Tulsa.
