Lucille (Watkins) Miller went home to be with her Savior on March 16, 2011. Lucille was born on August 25, 1928 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma to Dora (Cole) and William Vandiver Watkins. She attended schools in Pawhuska, Nelagoney, Henryetta and Pryor.

On April 6, 1946, she married Walter Vance Miller in Independence, Kansas and they made their home in Barnsdall where she was a homemaker, mother and second mom to many of her daughters' friends.

Lucille was a member of First Baptist Church Barnsdall where she loved her ladies' Sunday School class.

She is survived by her daughters, Linda Ellen (Miller) Snyder and husband Stephen of Barnsdall and Phyllis Elaine (Miller) Janssen of Barnsdall; four grandchildren, James Thomas Auschwitz and wife Tony of Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska; Jayme (Auschwitz) Babb and husband Jason of Barnsdall, Aaron Vance Lee Snyder of Barnsdall and Joel Robert Janssen and wife Amber of Mulvane, Kansas; two step-grandchildren, Mashelle Janssen of Tulsa and Michael Janssen of Wynona; great-grandchildren, Alyssa and Jakob Babb, Brandon, Zachary and Aiden Auschwitz and Emily Janssen; step-great-grandchildren Ricky Janssen, Kasi Janssen, Caleb Townley-Janssen and Tierney Janssen; two sisters, Wanda Hendricks of Avenale, California and Margaret (Stacy) Wall and husband Philip of Locust Grove; three brothers, Donald Stacy and wife of Mary of Locust Grove, Bob Stacy and wife Pat of Claremore and Ron Stacy and wife Sharon of Broken Arrow; as well as many much loved nieces, nephews, brothers-and-sisters-in-law.

Lucille was preceded in death by her father William Vandiver Watkins; her mother Dora (Cole) (Watkins) Stacy and step-father, Lee Stacy; a son, Walter Wayne Miller; one brother, Kenneth Ray Watkins; and her beloved husband, Walter Vance Miller. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent in Lucille's name to either the American Cancer Society or First Baptist Church in Barnsdall. Funeral services for Lucille will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 21, 2011 in the First Baptist Church, Barnsdall. Visitation will be held on Saturday and Sunday, March 19 and 20 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., and on Monday, March 21 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Barnsdall Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Ethel Reece Cemetery. Funeral service arrangements have been entrusted to the Arnold Moore Funeral Home, 621 S. Johnstone, Bartlesville.
