Corina Imogene Standridge died September 21, 2018 in Lexington at the age of 84 years 10 months 22 days.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at Wadley’s Funeral Chapel.

Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery, entrusted to the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service.


Corina was born October 30, 1933 in Broken Bow, Oklahoma to Clifford and Gracie Mae (Hayes) Womack. She was raised and attended school in the Stratford, Pauls Valley area. On August 13, 1954, she and Doyle Standridge were united in marriage in Norman, Oklahoma. Corina worked as an Operator for the phone company until she married, then she became a homemaker and raised her family. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. They were her main priority. Corina enjoyed cooking, gardening, quilting, crocheting, raising baby calves, and helping on the farm. She loved going to church, singing, and playing the piano.
 

Corina is preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Gracie Mae Womack; husband, Doyle Standridge; grandchild, Dalton Standridge; brothers, Charles Womack, Frank Womack; and a nephew, Stanley Hughes.

Survivors include her son, Larry Standridge and wife, Karla of Lexington; son, David Standridge and fiancé, Melissa of Lexington; daughter, Gloria Henry and husband, Troy of Stratford; grandchildren, Travis Henry, Chloe Henry and fiancé, Neal Etter, Kevin Standridge and wife, Kim, Matthew Henry, Joshua Henry, Peyton Standridge; a great grandchild, Kasin Ray Standridge on the way; sister, Iris Chancellor and husband, Don of Indiahoma; sisters-in-law, Linda Womack of Marlow, Betty Womack of California and many other relatives and friends.

NORMAN — Doyle Gene Standridge died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, in Lexington, at the age of 80 years, seven months and 12 days. Doyle was born May 21, 1932, to Oscar and Lurlie (Greenwood)Standridge in Lexington.

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Wadley’s Funeral chapel, with Rev. Curtis Compton officiating.

Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery, under the direction of Wadley’s Funeral Service.

He graduated from Lexington schools around 1950. On Aug. 13, 1954, Doyle and Corina Womack were united in marriage in Norman. Doyle was inducted into the United States Army and spent two years stationed at Fort Mead, Md. He owned and operated Standridge Auto Supply as well as teaching auto-mechanics in the prison system. Doyle served as a fire boy during his father’s tenure as fire chief. After Oscar died, Doyle took on that position for the Lexington Fire Department and served 22 years as chief before retiring. He enjoyed working with his hands, especially on cars. Spending time with his family was one of his favorite pastimes. Doyle was raised Methodist but visited many different faiths.

Doyle was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Lurlie Standridge, and grandchild, Dalton Standridge.

Survivors include his wife, Corina; sons Larry Standridge and wife Karla and David Standridge and wife Ambre, all of Lexington; daughter, Gloria Henry and husband Troy of Stratford; grandchildren Travis Henry, Chloe Henry, Kevin Standridge, Matthew Henry, Joshua Henry and Peyton Standridge; sister-in-law, Iris Chancellar and husband Don of Indiahoma; brothers-in-law Charles Womack and wife Linda and Frank Womack and wife Betty; nephews Travis Hoover and wife Julie, Stanley Hughes and Gary Hughes; cousin, Bob Ward and wife Therisa; and many other relatives and friends.
