Gaye Maree Smith, age 56 of Purcell, passed away Thursday, January 28, 2021, at Norman Regional Hospital.

Gaye was born September 4, 1964 in Lancaster, California to Cecil and Betty Smith. A special-needs child, Gaye’s lifelong struggle with disabilities served as an inspiration to all who knew her. Gaye liked helping wherever she could. She was very organized and enjoyed filing papers. She liked receiving mail, taking rides in the car, and her favorite food was enchiladas. She was a longtime resident at the Southern Oklahoma Resource Center where she worked in the garden center. She loved her family and looked forward to visits and she poured out love to all people. She will be dearly missed!

She was preceded in death by: her parents, Cecil and Betty Smith.

Gaye is survived by: siblings, Betty Sue Price of Arcadia, OK, Don Ross of Studio City, CA, Linda Halliwell of Lancaster, CA and Brad Smith and wife Brenda of Purcell; several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.

Graveside Services are scheduled for 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 3, 2021, at Hillside Cemetery. Send online condolences @ www.wilsonlittle.com.
