Danney Wayne Smith was born May 5, 1962 at Amarillo, Texas. Danney went to be with the Lord, Friday September 23, 2016 at OU Medical Center at Okc., Ok..

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Alonzo and Minnie Courtney; maternal grandparents, Delbert and Frances Potts; 2 aunts, Sherry Potts Milburn and Susan Potts Hernandez; 3 uncles, Bill, Odell, and Paul Courtney; cousin, Rebecca Hanner Rossi, and his infant daughter, Chrysta Danielle Smith on May 27, 1993.

Danney is survived by his parents, Albert and Chris Courtney, 2 brothers, Butch and Annette Courtney, Scott Courtney; 4 children, Eric, Suzanne, Albert Wayne and Ian; 2 grandchildren, Dillon and Spencer; 3 nephews, Michael amd April Wilson, Tailor Courtney, Travis Courtney; 6 nieces, Brooke and Johnnie Rhoton, Jessilyn Wilson, Karmen and Eric Franklin, Kandace and Mario Compos, Stephenie and Philip Hobbs; 5 great nieces, Emily, Haylie, Kaylie, Madison, and Michelle; 1 great nephew, Mateo; 4 aunts, Debbie and Darrell Hanner, Jo Ross, Margie and Wendell Folsom, Patty and Joe Willoughby; 2 uncles, Donald and Carol Courtney, Doyle and Mary Potts and numerous family members and friends that he thought highly of and loved very much. Danny loved all of his family, He loved to fish and he loved spending time with his children.

Funeral services were 2pm Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at Hillside Cemetery in Purcell.
