Jeanne Kay Mantooth, age 64 of Purcell, passed away Saturday, June 09, 2012, at the Purcell Municipal Hospital following an accident. She was born on September 28, 1947 in Purcell. She was the 4th child of eight children born to Henry John Dumas and Selma Myrel (Davis) Dumas. Jeanne grew up in Purcell and graduated from Purcell High School in 1965. One year later she married the love of her life, Jerry Lee Mantooth. They were married on June 6, 1966 in Purcell and together raised two daughters, Denise and Michelle. Jeanne lived in Purcell all of her life and was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church. She attended nursing school at the Wayne Mid-America Vo-Tech and worked most of her working years as a Home Health Nurse in the Purcell and Norman areas. Over the past several years Jeanne enjoyed spending time at Lake Texoma where she made many friends, whom she enjoyed playing dominoes and cards with. Jeanne loved her grandchildren and they liked to call her “Granny”. She was their #1 sports fan at all of their ball games. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by: Parents: Henry and Myrel Dumas Husband: Jerry Mantooth on Aug. 7, 1998 Two brothers: John Francis Dumas and Tommy Dumas Sister: Mary Jane Popoff She is survived by: Two daughters: Denise Nash and husband Darren of Norman Michelle Evans of Purcell Three sisters: Carol Winn of CA. Margaret Luttrell and husband Tod of Norman Pamela Yen and husband Ervin of OKC Two brothers: Johnny Dumas and wife Cathy of Purcell Henry Dumas and wife Patty of Purcell Four grandchildren: Tristan and Kayle Evans, Parker and Cooper Nash Also many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. A rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel in Purcell. The Funeral Mass will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Purcell. Interment will be at Hillside Cemetery in Purcell. Memorials may be made to St. Vincent DePaul, c/o Our Lady of Victory, 330 W. Jefferson, Purcell, OK. 73080. Send online condolences @wilsonlittle.com
