Raymond Isaac Lansdale passed away on September 11, 2016 at his home in Purcell with his family by his bedside at the age of 89 years 5 months 21 days.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 AM, Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at Wadley’s Funeral Chapel with interment following at Hillside Cemetery. Services are entrusted to the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service.

Raymond was born March 21, 1927 in Stringtown, Oklahoma to Ben and Neve (Perry) Lansdale. He was raised and attended school in Stringtown. Raymond was inducted into the United States Army and proudly served during World War II. He married the love of his life, Helen Francis Jones on September 14, 1949. They made their home mostly in Purcell, where they faithfully attended the Calvary Holiness Church. They shared everyday together for 67 years. Raymond was proud of his children and grandchildren. He retired from the oil field in 1988 but still continued to farm and raise cattle. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting.
 

Raymond is preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Neve Lansdale; his oldest daughter, Shirley Sharp; his youngest daughter, Debbie Lansdale; three sisters, Annie Buchanan, Jane Folks, Linda Wade; and four brothers, Burt Lansdale, Bobby Gene Lansdale, Albert Lansdale, and Douglas Lansdale.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Helen of the home; daughters, Carolyn Hodge of Elmore City, Dorothy Beauchamp of Davis; grandchildren, Vanessa Drake of Erick, Lea Ann Brown of Oklahoma City, Gary Raymond Hodge of Elmore City, Sarah Beesley of Davis; great grandchildren, Jacie Carr, Whitney Carr, Dace Drake, Laney Drake, Harley Beesley, Hailey Beesley, and many other relatives and friends.

Raymond's family is thankful for the exceptional care and out pouring of love at this difficult time.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Medical Research Foundation (Cancer Research) 825 N.E. 13th, Oklahoma City, OK 73104.
