Dennis Wade Hawkins died April 19, 2018 in Midwest City, at the age of 74 years 6 months 14 days.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 11:00 AM, Monday, April 23, 2018 at Wadley’s Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery entrusted to the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service.
 

Dennis was born October 5, 1943 in the Bryant Community, at the family’s homestead just west of Wayne, to Matthew Jr. and Tilee A. (Southard) Hawkins. He was raised and started his schooling in the Bryant Community before graduating from Wayne High School around 1961. In 1965, Dennis married Norma Bray. They had two children, Pam and Travis. Later in life he married Lois Harris, but they divorced in 2009. Dennis worked many years for McClain County as a heavy equipment operator. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and taking long drives on back county roads, but loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
 

Dennis is preceded in death by his parents, Matthew and Tilee Hawkins; daughter, Pam Hawkins-Harris; siblings, Bonnie Page, Louella Wright, and Claud Hawkins.

Survivors include his son, Travis Hawkins and wife, Deniece of Wayne; step-children, Melody and Greg Harris; grandchildren, Matthew Hawkins, Joseph Harris, Justin Harris; sister, Peggy Eberly and numerous other relatives and friends.
