After an extended hospital stay at OU Medical Center, Kyle Harper, age 54 of Purcell, entered into eternal rest Sunday, April 9, 2023 surrounded by his family.

Timothy Kyle Harper was born June 3, 1968 in Purcell, OK. Kyle was raised in Purcell and attended Purcell Schools K-12th grade. For two years of high school he also attended Vo-Tech. He was an apprentice for Trogdon Electric, and also worked numerous side jobs over the years. Kyle was a private, quiet man and a great listener. He enjoyed spending time outdoors; camping, fishing and swimming. He was fun loving and witty, loved playing jokes and enjoyed a good dare. Kyle was a good friend, always there for you, and very protective of his family. Although he never had any children of his own, he was especially close with his nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews, and he made it a point to be involved in their lives. Kyle cherished his mother, and was never shy about the fact that he was a mama’s boy. Barbara remembers her son with great joy and love, the man who will forever be her little boy. Kyle was a man of great faith and most peaceful at prayer time. He was a member of the 9th & Pierce Church of Christ. We will miss Kyle every day until we meet again, but we have such comfort in knowing he is completely healed and free from pain!

He was preceded in death by: his father, Howard Gale Harper; sister, Andrea Gale Harper Cole; two cousins, Melissa and Cody Norman.

Kyle is survived by: his mother, Barbara Trogdon and husband Rick of Purcell; sister, Angelia Harper Howry and husband Cleo of Dibble; brother, Kent Weddle and wife Dawn of Purcell; Two nieces, Sarah Rangel and husband Luis of Purcell and Morgan Resendiz and husband Modesto of Purcell; Three nephews, Joe and Josh Howry of Dibble and Brandon Weddle of California; aunt Jackie Norman and husband Ron of Fort Worth, TX; special cousin Kerry Harper Armstrong of Marlow, also many other loving relatives and friends.

Graveside Funeral Services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Thursday, April 13, 2023 at Hillside Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joe Howry, Josh Howry, Cleo Howry, Luis Rangel, Kyler Rangel and Rick Trogdon. www.wilsonlittle.com.
