Naoma Sue Hackney age 84 of Purcell, passed away Monday, December 21, 2015 at the Norman Health Plex in Norman, OK.

Known as Susie by her family, was born March 3, 1931 in Bowling Green, Kentucky. She was one of five children born to Oscar Ray Belcher and Lillie (Gott) Belcher. She grew up in Bowling Green and later married and moved to Oklahoma. Susie grew up in a restaurant family who also owned and operated a grocery store. This led to her life long career in the restaurant business. While living in the OKC area she owned and operated for many years a restaurant in South OKC. On December 16, 1983 she married the love of her life, Ernest Delno “Pete” Hackney. In 1985 they bought a place west of Purcell where they both enjoyed gardening, going to church and being a part of the community. Susie and Pete also enjoyed going dancing for many years until their health began to fail. Susie was a member of Friends Baptist Church in Dibble.

She was preceded in death by: Husband, Pete Hackney in 1997; Two sisters, Alma Mills and Helen Margaret Belcher; Two brothers, Ottis W. Belcher and Oscar E. Belcher;

She is survived by: Many nieces, nephews, in-laws and a host of friends.

Memorial services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel in Purcell. Interment will be at Hillside Cemetery in Purcell. Send online condolences @wilsonlittle.com
