The Purcell Register
Purcell, McClain Co, OK
Date Published: Feb 12, 1900

At the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Max Strubelt, in this city, on Sunday afternoon at 5:30, Mrs. Julia Haag, aged 74 years. The lady had been in bad health for more than a year, having no special sickness other than the physical decline incident to advancing age. Tenderly cared for by her daughter and friends, her closing days were of peace and pleasantness. She was born and raised in Fraser in the Rhine province, Germany, but came to this country many years ago. She had been a resident of Purcell about ten years, making her home with her daughter.

The funeral took place from the Catholic church on Monday evening, conducted by Father William and attended by a large concourse of friends.

CARD OF THANKS

We wish to return our thanks to the ladies who so tenderly ministered to our mother, Mrs. Haag, in her dying hours, who assisted in nursing her, furnished flowers at the funeral and in many other ways showed us kindness that will never be forgotten.

Mr. and Mrs. Max Strubelt
