Floyd W. Greenhaw age 86 of Purcell, formerly of OKC, passed away Saturday, October 1, 2016 at Norman Regional Healthplex.

Floyd was born November 30, 1929 in Oklahoma City. He was the oldest child of three children born to Floyd Gilbert Greenhaw and Iona Gertrude (Vanhoove) Greenhaw. Floyd grew up in OKC and graduated from Central High School in 1948. Three years later he married Billie Jo Farris. They made their home in OKC and together raised two children, Jacque and Chris. The first three years of marriage, Floyd served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. After being honorably discharged he returned home to OKC and started a lifelong career in the family business the “Canadian Valley Meat Co.” Floyd worked in the business for over forty years before retiring. Throughout his life, Floyd was an avid golfer. He also enjoyed fishing and for many year his family vacationed at Lake Eufaula. When his wife Billie passed away in 2003, Floyd remarried three years later. Marrying a woman from Purcell by the name of Judy Conley Bruehl. They made their home in Purcell and now their two family’s became one close family. Floyd became an active member in the Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Purcell and enjoyed playing golf regularly with Judy. After an extended illness, Judy passed away in 2014. Floyd will be remembered as a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He also was a wonderful stepfather and step grandfather to Judy’s family. He will be greatly missed.

Floyd was preceded in death by: Parents, Gilbert and Iona Greenhaw, Two wives, Billie Jo in 2003, and Judy in 2014;

He is survived by: Two children, Chris Greenhaw of Port Orange, FL, Jacque Greenhaw of Ada, OK; One brother, Jerry Greenhaw and wife Ramona of Berrien Center, MI, One sister, Pamela Foster and husband Jesse of OKC; 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren; Four stepchildren and their family’s all of Purcell, Bob Bruehl and wife Terri, Neil Bruehl and wife Deborah, Brenda Deger and husband Tom, Cari Wilson and husband Kevin; And many other relatives and friends.

A Rosary Service will be held at 7pm on Sunday, October 2, 2016 at Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel in Purcell. A Funeral Mass Service will be 10am Monday, October 3, 2016 at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Purcell.

Interment will be at Hillside Cemetery in Purcell. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in his memory to the Brent Bruehl Golf Course in Purcell.
