Wanda Maxine Farrow age 86 of Purcell, went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, July 16, 2019.

Wanda was born January 12, 1933, in Purcell. She was one of 12 children born to George Washington Wallace and Susie (Goins) Wallace. Wanda grew up in Purcell and graduated from Purcell High School. She later married Billy Ray Farrow Sr. and together they raised one son, Billy Ray Jr.

Wanda worked as a homemaker and for many years she worked at Griffin Memorial Hospital in Norman. During the years her husband owned and operated Farrow Masonry, she worked as his secretary.

Wanda was proud of her Chickasaw heritage and was actively involved at the Chickasaw Center in Purcell. She enjoyed working at the Indian taco dinners and taking trips on the Chickasha tour bus.

Wanda was a faithful Christian and an active member of the Lighthouse Worship Center in Purcell for over 40 years. Whatever and whenever the church needed something done, Wanda was there. She was on the hospitality committee, she made visitations and in her later years she was active in the senior group.

Wanda will be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She was a special sister, aunt and great aunt. She was especially a dear friend to all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by:

Parents, G. W. and Susie Wallace,

Husband, Ray Farrow,

Three sisters, Ella Hall, Lula Wilkerson and Velda Graham.

Seven brothers, Kenneth, Bob, L. V., Tommy, Clarence, G.W., and  Tracey Wallace.

She is survived by:

One son, Billy Ray Farrow, Jr. of Purcell,

One grandson, Brandon Farrow of Purcell,

One sister, Shirley Stark of Purcell,

One sister-in-law, Janie Wallace of Lexington.

Many nieces and nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews.

And a host of friends.

Funeral services will be 10:00 am Friday, July 19, 2019 at Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel in Purcell. Officiating will be Rev. Jeff Pierce.

Interment will be at the Hillside Cemetery in Purcell.
