WILSON-LITTLE FUNERAL HOME
PURCELL-NEWCASTLE, MCCLAIN CO, OK
(permission granted)

Linda Coats, age 56 of Norman, passed away Friday, October 4, 2019.

Linda Kay Lowe was born June 15, 1963 in Purcell, OK, one of two daughters born to Edwin Wayne Lowe and Versa Vanita (Graham) Lowe. She was raised and attended school in Purcell. Linda received her Nurses Certification and began working at the Purcell Hospital. By chance, while caring for a patient, she met a young man named Larry Dean Coats. He must have asked her out at least 10 times, but Linda was stubborn, and she consistently refused. Finally, Larry's persistance paid off and she agreed to a date. They fell in love and were married on March 15, 1982 in Purcell. They first made their home in Purcell and later moved to Norman, where together they raised 3 sons, Larry "JR" Jr, Lance and Layne. Linda and Larry both began working for the University of Oklahoma in custodial, before a back injury forced her to medically retire. Linda loved her family. She loved family get togethers and spending time with her grandkids. She liked solving cross word puzzles and soduko; she loved the challenge of word searches and trivia, and she never missed an opportunity to roll dice and play farkel. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother, aunt and a true friend. She will be dearly missed!

She was preceded in death by: Her husband, Larry Dean Coats Sr.; Her parents, Edwin and Versa Lowe; Her sister, Sharon Watkins and A niece, Natasha Michaud.

Linda is survived by: Her boys, Larry "JR" Coats Jr (Miranda) of Norman, Lance Coats of Norman and Layne Coats (Chelsea) of Enid; Her bonus kids, Amanda Rowell and Johnathon Moore, both of Norman; 5 grandchildren, Lela, Cerenity, Harlan, Allys and Cloe,
And a host of other family and friends.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Thursday, October 10, 2019, at the Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will follow at the Hillside Cemetery.
