Services for Ronnie Dewayne Muncrief, 71, of Lebanon will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 12, in the Watts Memorial Chapel, Madill with Roy Vinson and Bob Garsee officiating. Interment will follow in the Lebanon Cemetery.
Born January 24, 1944, at Enville, the son of Teddy Theodore and Lillian Emily Klein Muncrief, he died Monday, September 7, 2015, in Brookside Nursing Center, Madill.
Ronnie was raised in the Marshall County and Lebanon area. He graduated from Madill High School in 1962 and started a lifelong career in farming and ranching. He married Carolyn Kay Hagood on February 28, 1964, in Lebanon. Ronnie was a member of the First Baptist Church in Lebanon, the Marshall County Fair Board and served on the ASCS Committee and OSU Program Planning Committee. He received the OSU Master Agronomist Award for Southeastern Oklahoma and the Master Oklahoma Farmer Stockman Award. Ronnie served nine years as secretary on the Oklahoma Peanut Commission and as president of the Marshall County Antique Iron Tractor Club he helped to establish in 2002. He enjoyed fishing, riding dirt bikes, and old cars and tractors.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Barbara Thompson; niece, Amy Hagood; and nephews, Keith Thompson, Randall Hagood and Greg Richardson.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Kay Muncrief of Lebanon; children, Brian Muncrief and wife Natalie and Ronda Douthit and husband Ray, all of Lebanon; four grandchildren, Devin Muncrief, Zachary Douthit, Kaylee Douthit and Aliya Douthit; sisters, Patsy Parrish and husband Wendyl of Powell and Sandra Richardson and husband Harry of Madill; and a brother-in-law, William Thompson of Madill.
Serving as pallbearers will be Chuck Lewis, Steve Buckaloo, Walter Bruce Bigger, Eddie Grant, Bobby Joe Shebester, and Tobe Muncrief. Honorary bearers will be members of the Marshall County Antique Iron Tractor Club.
Visitation will be Friday, September 11 from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. with a family hour from 6 until 8 p.m.
