Hazel Parrish Ware

Services were held Wed.Sept. 8 for Hazel Parrish Ware at the St Paul Baptist Church in Meridian, Ok.

Mrs.Ware was born to William and Sarah Parrish on Nov 20, 1915 in Meridian, OK. She quietly left this earth on Thursday September 2, 2004 surrounded by her family.

Long time resident of Meridian,OK she married Odess Ware in 1937 and they celebrated 50 years of marriage in 1987.

Mrs. Ware worked as a clerk and financial secretary for over 50 years at the St. Paul Baptist Church of Meridian. She was also a lifetime member. Mrs. Ware was known for her cooking and awarded and complimented for the way she kept such a beautiful lawn. Odess and Hazel were so proud of each of their children and that they all finished high school and that they continued on to further themselves.

She leaves to cherish her memory son George William; nine daughters, Venora McKinney (Lafayette), Milwaukee, WI; Joyce Doolin, Chicago, IL; Opal Ware, Long Beach, CA; Margaret W. Gentle, Atlanta, GA; Rafael White (Stanford), LaVerne Broiles, Lula Rider (Vernon), Linda Ware Toure (Opio), and Vonnie Ware Roberts (Alvin), all of OKC, OK; twentyfive grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren. She also leaves two loving sisters, Geraldine Parrish Amey and Dorothy Parrish Bishop, both of OKC, OK; brother-in-law Joseph Ware, Meridian, OK; her dear cousins Hazel Franklin Hackett, Valley Springs, CA; Jackson Franklin, Los Angeles, CA and Milton Gooden, Austin, TX and a great many other relatives and friends.

Interment followed the service at Union Hill Cemetery, Meridian, Oklahoma
