Jearl Lee Bartlett was born February 18, 1934, in Cloud Chief, Oklahoma to B.A. and Juanita Kathryn (McBroom) Bartlett. He finished life’s earthly journey on December 3, 2020, in Marlow.

Viewing will be Friday-Sunday at Whitt Funeral Home. A graveside service is scheduled for Monday, December 7, at 2:00 P.M., with viewing available from 1:30-2:00, in Fairlawn Cemetery at Snyder, Oklahoma. Pastor Jerry Couch will officiate.

The family requests that masks be worn and social distancing be practiced. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home.

Jearl graduated from Snyder High School. He married Vernace Ruth Barker on February 24, 1953, in Dalhart, Texas. To this union, one son, Larry, was born. Jearl worked at Halliburton for over 40 years, retiring as a supervisor. When Larry was young, the family enjoyed going tent camping and fishing. Later, Jearl and Vernace were part of a group who enjoyed going to flea markets and RV camping. Their favorite places to visit were Canton, Texas and Branson, Missouri. Jearl was a devoted member at Highland Park Baptist Church. He was especially proud of being "Grandaddy" to his three grandchildren and later became a doting great grandpa to Mila Quinn and Dylan Kelly.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Vernace; and his sister, Evelyn Sue Stephens.

Jearl is survived by his son, Larry and wife Ann Bartlett of Duncan; grandchildren: Leah Bartlett of Dallas, Texas, Jearod Bartlett and Blake Bartlett, both of Duncan; great grandchildren: Dylan Kelly Goode and Mila Quinn Bartlett; brother, Ronnie and wife Roselle Bartlett of Snyder; and brothers-in-law, Wayne Barker and L.D. Barker.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Highland Park Baptist Church, 1002 S. 10th Street, Duncan, OK 73533. Online condolences can be made to the family at www.whittfh.com.
