Armeda Ann (Hair) Worth, age 80, originally of Hollis Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on October 24, 2013 at her residence in Altus, surrounded by the warmth of our loving Lord and her two daughters, Tanya and Tammy.

Armeda Ann was born on November 11, 1932 in Hollis Oklahoma to her parents Earl and Alice (Richardson) Hair. After graduating high school, Armeda married Joy Dean Worth in 1954. During her lifetime she was fortunate to see some of the world by traveling to various countries as well as living in England as an Air Force wife in the 50’s and later living in Iran and Greece working for Bell Helicopter Textron as a computer programmer/analyst . When she moved Hurst Texas, she worked for a grocery store chain where she assisted in programming the new UPC bar coding label system used today on grocery labels. She later went to work for Pier 1 Imports in Fort Worth, Texas where she retired as a systems analyst.

Preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Kenneth, Robert and Charles Hair; sisters, Barbara Theis and Carolyn Churchley.

She is survived by her two daughters, Tanya Worth of Altus and Tammy Franklin of Buffalo, NY; four grandchildren, Justin Dickey of Altus, Robert Worth of Norfolk, VA, Sean Franklin of Buffalo NY and Courtney Franklin of Buffalo NY; two great-grandchildren, Christopher Worth of San Diego, CA and Joshua Worth of Norfolk VA; and brother, Bill Hair of Altus. She is also survived by her many other cousins, nieces and nephews as well as many wonderful friends she had made during her life’s journey.

Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in the Harmon County Funeral Home Chapel in Hollis Oklahoma with Rev. Erin Martinez officiating.

She will be interred at Fairmont Cemetery beside other family members in Hollis Oklahoma at a later date.

We want especially thank the Jackson County Memorial Hospital Hospice group for their wonderful help and support for our mother and family during this time. No words are enough, just love.

In lieu of flowers, the family gratefully requests donations to be made to JCMH Hospice in memory of Armeda Ann (Hair) Worth at 1405 E. Tamarack Rd., Altus, OK 73521.
