Opal Isabel Kemp, age 95, a long time resident of Hollis, passed away, Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at the Montevista Nursing Home in Lawton. Opal was born in Campbell, Texas on October 15, 1918 to John Henry and Effie Lee (Brown) Davis. On May 5, 1945 Opal married Albert Cecil Kemp and they were married for over 28 years before Albert’s death in 1973. Opal was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hollis and she really enjoyed reading her Bible, cooking, walking, and taking care of her family.

Preceded in death by her husband Albert Cecil Kemp; her parents, John Henry and Effie Lee (Brown) Kemp; one son, Leo Everett Kemp; one brother; and three sisters.

Opal is survived by two daughters, Glenda Moore of Altus; Martha Stark of Yukon; one brother, Fred Thurman Davis of Texas; five grandchildren, Amanda Falcon and husband Joe of Norman; Dee Taylor and husband Scott of Texas; Rocky Moore and wife Stephenie of Illinois; John Stark and wife Erika of Oklahoma City; Jason Stark of Yukon; six great grandchildren, Trinity, Mason, Emily, Jordana, Ragan, and Owen; several half sisters; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Friday, February 7, 2014 at Harmon County Funeral Home with John Cox officiating under the direction of Harmon County Funeral Home.
