Devota “Sue” Jones, age 77, a resident of Hollis for over 35 years, passed away, Monday, July 7, 2014 in Hollis. Sue was born in Floydada, Texas on August 22, 1936 to Grady Jesse and Bessie Pauline (Burns) Moreau. On September 30, 1955 she married Beverly “Bubby” Jones in Amarillo, Texas and they were married 23 years before his death in 1989. Sue enjoyed reading, cooking and baking, and was a great mother that took care of her family and would give to charities to help other people. She loved her family and grandbabies very much and she will be missed greatly.

Preceded in death by her parents; her husband Bubby Jones; two sons, Lawrence Paul Jones and Darryl Wayne Jones; one son-in-law, Donnie Weaver; two brothers, Grady Joe Moreau and Harry Glenn Moreau; and one sister, Coma Ruth Gloomis.

Sue is survived by one son, Jonathan Jay Jones of Texas; three daughters, Jennifer Staley and her husband Terry of Ohio, Cindy Ashby and her husband Paul Hartzell of Missouri, and Susie Weaver of Colorado; two special nieces who were thought of as daughters, Barbara Williams of Hollis and Gwen Garcia of Hollis; one sister-in-law, Iva Nell Moreau of Hollis; twelve grandchildren, Jonas, Nick, Gina, Tracy, Alicia, Pauline, Paulray, Lindsey, Shelby, Jordon, Whitney, and Donnie, Jr.; twelve great grandchildren, Christian, Angela, Alayna, Lilly, Lyla, Lexie, Carrick, Cali, Cameron, Alice Nicole Lucero, Addi, and Karson; Cindy’s special mother-in-law, Mrs. Lee Ann Weaver; numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, as well as many other relatives and friends.

The family will greet friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm, Friday, July 11, 2014 at Harmon County Funeral Home in Hollis. F

uneral services will be 10:00 am, Saturday, July 12, 2014 at Harmon County Funeral Home’s Chapel in Hollis. Interment will follow at Fairmount Cemetery in Hollis under the direction of Harmon County Funeral Home.
