Toni Yvonne Hawkins, age 52, of Hollis, passed away early Monday morning, August 20, 2012, at Jackson County Memorial Hospital, in Altus.
Toni was born on October 2, 1959, in Ennis, Texas to Robert (Sonny) Maxwell and Jo Ann (Martin) Hawkins. When she was two years old, the family moved to Stillwater, Oklahoma where her dad completed his college schooling. After leaving Stillwater, they spent time in Altus and Frederick before settling in Hollis in 1966. A 1977 graduate of Hollis School, Toni worked for Doris Hillix at the Close Line and later for David Rath Chevrolet and later for dealerships in Sayre and Watonga before heading to Tulsa and working for Riverside Chevrolet. In 1991, Toni’s health began to fail and she returned to Hollis where she later opened Stitches and Stuff. In 2002 she purchased Hollis Flowers and Gifts and continued to run the business, as she could, until her death. A Food Network addict, Toni enjoyed cooking, painting and traveling. Anything dealing with the Wizard of Oz was an enjoyment for Toni.

Preceded in death by her grandparents, her father, in 2005 and a sister, Katrina Bogle in 2010.

She is survived by her mother, Jo Ann Hawkins of Hollis; one sister, Tracy Myers of Hollis; one brother-in-law, Terry Bogle of Hollis; one niece, Tayler Myers of Hollis; three nephews, Jacob Bogle, Robert Bogle and Tucker Myers all of Hollis; her best friend, Linda Moline of Norman along with many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Toni Hawkins will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, August 23, 2012, at the Hollis First Baptist Church with Pastor Justin Sampler officiating.

Interment will follow at Fairmount Cemetery under the direction of Harmon County Funeral Home of Hollis.

The family will greet friends on Wednesday from 4:30 until 5:30 p.m. at Harmon County Funeral Home.
