Tawana Gay Crockett, age 52, of Hollis, passed away Friday afternoon, February 22, 2013, at Harmon Memorial Hospital.
 
Mrs. Crockett was born in Pampa, Texas on July 21, 1960, to Douglas and Julia (Hubanks) Poteet. Moving to Amarillo, Texas at age twelve, Tawana moved, with her family, to Hollis, in the late seventies. She later moved to Altus and married Lynn Crockett. After spending a few years in Altus, they moved to Duncan where she worked for Halliburton Services for several years, then later moved to Frisco, Texas. Tawana moved to Amarillo for a short time before moving to Hollis in January 2012. In her spare time, Tawana enjoyed eating out, especially at Red Lobster, playing the slot machines, and collecting butterflies.

Preceded in death by her dad.

Tawana is survived by her mother, Julia (Hubanks) Cummins, of Hollis; two sons, Justin Crockett of Hollis and Jason Crockett of Hollis; one sister, Sherri Vasquez of Canyon, Texas along with many other relatives and friends.
 

Funeral services for Tawana Crockett will be at 2 p.m., Monday, February 25, 2013, at Harmon County Funeral Home Chapel with Gary Kellison officiating.

Interment will follow at Fairmount Cemetery under the direction of Harmon County Funeral Home.
