Benita O. Baeza, age 69, of Hollis, passed away late Saturday night, September 21, 2013, at Comanche County Memorial Hospital, in Lawton. Mrs. Baeza was born on April 5, 1944, in New Braunfels, Texas to Frank and Maggie (Castro) Ortiz. Moving to Hollis in the mid 1960’s, she married Martin Baeza on September 25, 1980. For many years she worked for the Jim Moore Family as a housekeeper. In her spare time, she enjoyed Bingo, fishing and working with jigsaw puzzles.

Preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Florence Ortiz; one daughter, Sylvia Ybarra and one son, Mike Ybarra.

She is survived by her husband, Martin Baeza, of the home; seven children, Jose Rangel Ybarra, Jr. and wife Tracie of Hollis, Sarah Heinrich and husband Greg of Hollis, Ricky Yabarra and wife Betty of Hollis, Paula Molina and husband Johnny of Hollis, Tina Reyes and special friend Billy Williams of Hollis, Benny Joe Ybarra of Hollis and Martin Baeza, Jr. and wife Jennifer; twenty-two grandchildren; twenty-eight great grandchildren; seven sisters; three brothers and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Benita O. Baeza will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, September 25, 2013, at Harmon County Funeral Home with Joe Cantu officiating. Interment will be at Fairmount Cemetery under the direction of Harmon County Funeral Home of Hollis.
