March 16, 1929 - January 6, 2020

Deloris Jean Kilian was born March 16, 1929 in Wichita, Kansas to Ernest Walker and Emma Zelenka Walker and passed from this life on January 6, 2020 in Wakita. She attended school in several states as the family moved many times. She graduated from Medford High School in 1946. After graduation, she worked in Enid as a phone operator with Mrs. Hinkle and part-time cashier at Herzberg's.

She met Ben in February 1946 and they had their first date on April 2, 1946. On this first date, Ben's car was stolen while they attended the senior class play. They were engaged in July 1947 and married November 18, 1947. Their first home was a small rented trailer, which was parked on Adolph Kilian's farm. They moved to the school quarter in March 1948 and began farming. Six children were born there: Mike, Linda, Tony, Steve, Danny, and Nancy. They moved to the Waldie place in July 1956, where six more children were born: Mary, David, Teresa, Kevin, Gary, and Paula. They then moved to the Sturtz place in December 1964.

Throughout Deloris' life her faith came first, but her family was very important to her. She loved babies and also loved to cook. She enjoyed feeding everyone and made sure that no one ever left her home feeling hungry.

Survivors include her seven sons, Mike of Medford, Tony and wife, Rene of Derby, Kansas, Steve and wife, Deana of Medford, Danny and wife, Shelly of Medford, David and wife, Brenda of Kaw City, Kevin and wife, Lisa of Medford, and Gary of Medford; five daughters, Linda Stow of Caldwell, Kansas, Nancy Kilian of Alva, Mary Biggerstaff and husband, Danny of Medford, Teresa Biggerstaff and husband, Kent of Kaw City, and Paula Blubaugh and husband, Joe of Medford; one brother, Ernie Walker and wife, Eleanor of Stoneham, Massachusetts; two sisters, Ramona Kilian of Medford and Judy Lipsett and husband, Eugene of Garland, Texas; thirty-nine grandchildren; sixty-eight great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
