St. Mary Calvary Cemetery


Recitation of Rosary for Edwin Christopher Conrady, 80, of Wakita, will be 9:15 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Wakita. Funeral mass will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church. The Rev. Kevin Ratterman will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Medford. Arrangements are by Prairie Rose Funeral Home, Williams Chapel, Anthony, Kan. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

He was born Oct. 29, 1927, in Wakita to Robert and Katherine Ciscowski Conrady and died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2008, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.

He married Leota Burlie Feb. 3, 1950. He was a retired farmer/stockman and school bus driver. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Wakita.

Surviving are his wife, Leota, of Wakita; three sons, Terry Conrady of Enid, Dr. Rickie Conrady of Edmond and Keith Conrady of Augusta, Kan.; one daughter, Lori Conrady-Stevens of Edmond; one brother, Louis Conrady of Jenks; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by five brothers and seven sisters.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home, 602 E. Main, Anthony, KS 67003 to St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Wakita Fire Department or Wakita Education Foundation.
