The funeral for Lavada L. Koehn, 92-year-old Enid resident, is 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 20, 2022, in the Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will follow in Rosemound Cemetery, Medford.

Lovada Larine (Blumer) Koehn

The funeral for Lovada L. Koehn, 92 year-old Enid resident in 10:30AM Saturday, August 20, 2022 in the Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Rosemound Cemetery, Medford.

Lovada was born October 25, 1929 on a homestead near Cestos, OK. To Lovie and Ada (Philo) Blumer and died Sunday, August 14, 2022 in Oklahoma City. After graduating High School with the class of 1947. On June 2, 1950, she married Robert W. Koehn. The couple made their home in Medford where she raised their children. The couple moved to Bella Vista, Arkansas for many years before moving bank to Enid.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Busy Mom’s Club and was also very active in her church activities. She was an avid reader, loved crossword puzzles, and was an accomplished seamstress, crocheter, and did needle-point.

Lovada is survived by her children, Mavis Johnson and husband, Austin of Enid and David Koehnand and wife, Betty of OKC; one grandson, Joshua Robert Koehn and wife, Annie of Houston; six sisters, Beth, Mary, Nancy, Ireata, Carol, and Twila; brother, Doyle as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert and three sisters, Ardeth, Colleen, and Gwen.
