Rosemound Cemetery


Arthur E. Horne, 82, died Friday at his home in Medford.

Services will be held at 10:30 AM Tuesday at Medford United Methodist Church with the Rev. Wayne Cook officiating. Burial will be at Rosemound Cemetery under the direction of Hills Funeral Home of Medford.

Horne was born on March 10, 1898, in Portland, Kansas, and later lived in Denver, Colorado, Blackwell and Enid.

Horne moved to Medford in 1927. He started Horne's Hatchery there and operated it until his retirement.

Horne was a veteran of World War I and a member of the Masonic Lodge in Medford.

Horne married Audrey Rouse on June 8, 1920. She died in 1941. Horne later married Nevis Brown.

Horne is survived by three daughters, Madaline McDowell, Cherokee, Maxine Davison, Houston, Texas, and June Zeman, Medford, 10 grandchildren and five great – grandchildren.

Horne was preceded in death by one son.
