David Eric "Dave" Potter
August 14, 1970 - May 11, 2023
David (Dave) Eric Potter, 52, of 209 East Beech Street, Pond Creek, OK, passed away Thursday, May 11, 2023, after fighting cancer for 4 years.
Dave was born on August 14, 1970, to Dale and Yong Ja (Kim) Potter in Frankfurt, Germany. After Dave graduated from Pond Creek High School in 1988, he went on to serve our country as a Light Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic, in the U.S. Army, deploying to Operation Desert Storm/Shield with the 1st Infantry Division in Kuwait and Iraq.
After completing 3 years in the Army, he started to work for a Dodge Dealership as a certified mechanic and moved on to work as a Sears Appliance repairman out of Ponca City, Okla. Dave was passionate about riding his Harley, listening to music, exploring the outdoors, and spending time with his kids.
Dave was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mildred, Cecil, Halmeoni, and his Aunt Emo and Uncle Dieter, Aunt Francis and Uncle Gary. He is survived by his parents, Dale and Kim; sisters, Jackie and Joan (Brenda); his children, whom he loved dearly, Christian, Jenna, and Nicholas; and many nieces, nephews, cousins.
Services will be held at Wilson Funeral Home on May 18, 2023, in Pond Creek OK. Viewing starts at 12:00 p.m., with a service following at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Elara Caring, 427 E Cherokee Ave., Ste. 3, Enid, OK 73701, a Hospice organization, and the United Methodist Church Pond Creek, OK, in which he felt strongly about.
