Services for Dean Wood Nourse were held Wednesday at Guardian West Chapel with interment in Pond Creek Cemetery.
He was born April 11, 1919 in Sedan KS and passed away at home after a brief illness Dec. 16, 1984. He had moved to Oklahoma as a child. He graduated from high school in Seminole OK, and attended Okla. State University.
Mr Wood was a Captain in the US Army during WWII. He retired from the State Dept. of Transportation in 1982 after 30 years of service.
He is survived by his wife, Jean of the home; son, Dean W. Nourse Jr. of Phoenix AZ; daughter, Diane Lilly of Irving TX; 2 step-sons, John Tanton of Los Angeles, and Mark Tanton of Garland TX; 4 grandsons.
