Harold Dwayne Lee was born July 14, 1932, to Harold and Ruby Lee in the family home at 101 W. Birch in Pond Creek, Oklahoma. He passed away December 31, 2017, in Enid, Oklahoma. Dwayne grew up in Pond Creek. After high school, he attended Oklahoma State College in Stillwater. In 1952, Dwayne joined the navy and served his country aboard the aircraft carrier U.S. Intrepid during the Korean War. In 1956, he was honorably discharged and returned to Pond Creek to work with his dad in the family business. In 1960, Dwayne married his sweetheart Jerrilyn Hamilton. They had two children, Doug Lee of Enid and Robin Hamman of Edmond.

After the family business was closed, Dwayne worked for the Raleigh bicycle plant in Enid, and the bicycle store in Enid to pursue his new love of bicycling. Dwayne was an avid bicyclist and enjoyed many miles of beautiful countryside and made many dear friends on the back of his bicycle. Later on, Dwayne went to work for Pond Creek-Hunter Schools where he enjoyed driving a bus, taking care of the school, and helping fix whatever needed fixing for fourteen years. After he retired from the school, he continued to work in the community in his appliance service and repair business. After Dwayne's health began to decline, he moved to Golden Oaks in Enid where he passed on December 31, 2017. Dwayne was a member of the Pond Creek Masonic Lodge for fifty-five plus years. He was a member of of the Pond Creek United Methodist Church. He served his beloved community as a member of the volunteer Fire Department for many years.

He loved following the Pond Creek-Hunter school kids as well as his own children's, and grandchildren's activities. He attended as many football and basketball games, band concerts, and track events as he could. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing in his younger days, then later, bicycling. He was an Eagle Scout. He enjoyed taking care of the Purple Martin birds each spring. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and he will be dearly missed.

Dwayne was preceded in death by a baby sister, brother Robert, and parents Harold and Ruby.

He leaves his wife of 57 years, Jerrilyn of the home in Pond Creek; his two children, Doug and Robin; his two granddaughters, Kristin Lawson of Jackson, Tennessee, and Karlie Hamman of Oklahoma City; two sisters, Peggy Hinkle and Erlene Pierce, both of Albuquerque, NM.
