Pond Creek Cemetery


October 25, 1923 - January 22, 2019

There will be a visitation 5-7 p.m. Sunday January 27, 2019 at Wilson Funeral Home, Pond Creek. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday January 28, 2019 at First Christian Church, Pond Creek with Guy Knigge officiating. Interment will follow at Pond Creek Cemetery.

Myrtic Bernice LaBrue was born October 25, 1923 at Waldron, Kansas to Harry Leroy and Iva Myrtic (Puffinbarger) Wilson.

Myrtic attended the Ruby country school near Cleo Springs nd Cleo Springs school. She moved to Pond Creek in 7th grade and graduated from Pond Creek High School in 1942. She married Rolland LaBrue at Cherokee, Oklahoma on April 25, 1942. They ran LaBrue Oil Company and Farmer's Motel for many years. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Pond Creek.

She is survived by one daughter, Cheryl Holden and husband Homer of Medford, Oklahoma; daughter-in-law Karolyn LaBrue; 11 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 14 Great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Rolland, son, Ron LaBrue, daughter Lavell Williams, grandson, Bart Phillips, brother Lester Wilson, four sisters, Bessie West, Violet Holdeman, Mildred Smith and Imogene Hacker.

Memorial may be made to Pond Creek Cemetery Association. Arrangements by Wilson Funeral Home, Pond Creek.
