Pond Creek Cemetery


Graveside services for Jennie Bell Dougherty, who died Saturday in Blackwell Nursing Home, were conducted Tuesday morning at Pond Creek Cemetery with the Rev. Jerry Holt, pastor of Medford First Baptist Church officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Hills Funeral Home, Medford.

Mrs. Dougherty, 97, was born February 25, 1890, to John and Quindara Sayre, and moved to California in 1918. She and C. P. Dougherty were married on March 6, 1957, at Arroya Grande, California. He passed away in 1963. She returned to the Medford area in 1978 to be near a niece, Mrs. Gerald (Ruby) Fore.

Survivors include 14 nieces and nephews.
